At least 26 prisoners escape on Monday during a jail break, according to local media and authorities.
The incident took place in Bekaa Valley, Western Lebanon.
Authorities have gave no details about the prison break, but National News Agency reported that the escapees include those charged with weapons trafficking, drug convicts and terrorists.
Amid economic crisis gripping Lebanon, prisons are overcrowded with poor conditions.
This has regularly sparked riots in the prisons where convicts complain about lack of medical car and food.
