A video seen by Tagzette on Thursday shows security operatives from the Eastern Security Network, ESN, on patrol at sea in the former eastern region of Nigeria.
The exact location of the patrol at sea with a speedboat is unknown, but authorities from ESN and the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) confirmed the video, saying it is a routine patrol that has just started.
Chinasa Nworu, a member of IPOB's Directorate of State, who confirmed the video via his Facebook page, wrote:
“ESN commence Riverline patrol, these are some of the water ways the Fulani herdsmen are using to penetrate into Biafraland, since the major main roads are not safe for them .
“ESN is getting there with little resources at their disposal, don’t forget ESN activities is to protect Biafraland against Fulani herdsmen and Fulani terrorist in Biafraland."
