Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, has warned that nothing untoward should happen to its leader Nnamdi Kanu who is being detained by the federal government of Nigeria.
The self-determination group issued the notice on Saturday December 17, after lawyers reported that Mr. Kanu who faces health challenges in the secret police— DSS custody, was denied access to proper medical care and food.
Emma Powerful, the media and publicity secretary for IPOB, said in a statement that the Nigerian government is systematically killing Nnamdi Kanu.
He said the claim by the DSS which alleged that the government can't afford food and proper drugs for Mr Kanu, is a plot to diminish his life and silently eliminate him.
The federal government should release Nnamdi Kanu immediately, said Emma Powerful who warned that IPOB won't take it lightly if anything untoward happens to him.
