Nigeria's President Muhammadu Buhari has described as mischievous, those insinuating that he is an impostor from Sudan, stating that they just want to be cheeky.
The president spoke after years of speculation that he died in London hospital during treatment, and was replaced with an impostor.
The claim was spearheaded by Nnamdi Kanu— a self-determination activist and leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB).
In a documentary titled, ‘Essential Muhammadu Buhari’ organized to celebrate his 80th birthday, Buhari told an interviewer that the reports alleging that he was dead are false.
He said he did not bother himself about the identity given to him.
Nigerians express themselves in mischievous ways, said the president who added that the speculation that he is not Buhari is one of those ways.
According to him, they want to distract attention from the main issue which is infrastructure and making Nigerians to be aware that they have to work very hard for a better living.
