Two United Nations peacekeepers has died in an attack that left four others injured in Mali.
The attack that occurred in the West African country was carried out by unidentified armed men, UN mission in Mali, MINUSMA said in a statement on Friday.
According to the head of MINUSMA, El-Ghassim Wane, one of the assailants was killed during the attack which he described as a “heinous act” and condemned.
Security forces were immediately deployed to secure the area, said the UN mission in Mali.
