DSS rejects N1m made available for Kanu's needs, deny him medication
Human rights activist and IPOB leader, Mr Nnamdi Kanu

Nigeria's secret police, the Department of State Services (DSS), has refused to accept the sum of N1,000,000.00 (One million naira) made available for the needs of Mazi Nnamdi Kanu the detained leader of IPOB, his lawyer Ifeanyi Ejiofor said on Monday.

Ejiofor who disclosed this via a statement received by Tagzette, said the DSS rejected the money sent by the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), and still refuse to carter for Mr. Kanu's meal and medical needs.

According to the lawyer, for the past nine days the DSS has refused to provide the detained self-determination activist of his medication for heart/chest burn.

He stated that Mr Kanu's health is fast deteriorating in the DSS custody due to refusal to cater for his medical needs.

The international government and authorities should prevail on the Nigerian government to obeyed the 2022 court that directed unconditional and immediate release of Nnamdi Kanu, the lawyer pleaded.
