Biafra: Igbo governors, others dragged to court for proscription of IPOB

IPOB members protests Aloy Ejimakor, the special counsel for Nnamdi Kanu the detained leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, has commenced a suit against the South-East Governors Forum and other Igbo leaders. The lawyer commenced the suit for their role in early proscription of IPOB. Ejimakor filed last Friday— January 13, 2023. Meanwhile, in a tweet on Sunday Ejimakor who have repeatedly condemned the incarceration of Nnamdi Kanu whom court had acquitted and ordered his release, stated that the refusal by the federal government of Nigeria to release him is of part of “sinister plot” against people of the eastern Nigeria. According to him, the plot is targeted at putting the Igbo people in a different place as Nigeria farcically careens into the 2023 general elections. But it will boomerang, he said.

Masquerade killed as soldiers open fire at funeral event A masquerade has died at a funeral event where soldiers opened fire and also left many civilians injured, Tagzette learnt on Monday January 9, 2023. The incident occurred January 7, 2023 in Bambui, restive northwest region of Cameroon. According to locals, the soldiers invaded the funeral event and shot sporadically “targeting civilians” they alleged are separatists. The masquerade was shot dead while fleeing to safety with other masquerades and civilians, an eyewitness said. In an exclusive report, Mimi Mefo Infos quoted another eyewitness saying the incident occurred around 3.35pm. According to the eyewitness, the military marched into the funeral event and took combat-ready positions before opening fire on the civilians. The witness said the military took picture of the the deceased masquerade and disrupted event, for their “propaganda”. “Some civilians are still missing since the incident occurred,” a survivor told Tagzette.

Man breaks down in tears after DNA test result of his children A Lagos-based man has took to social media to narrate what he described as the greatest shock of his life, after he received the DNA test result of his two children. The 35-year-old said she found out that he is not the biological father of the children. In the story shared by toknaija.info , the heartbroken man said his wife's suspicious action prompted him to take the children to DNA test. She even goes to bathroom with her phone, he said, adding that she doesn't allow him to touch the smart phone. He said after taking the children to the test where he made the discovery, he followed her to her village on December 28, and called the both parents. She denied committing adultery until I brought out the test results, he said. He concluded by saying that he have divorced her.
